17.0900-0645 HITEz: A Simple Way to Measure Rubber Experiences

(Important: "HITEz" were formerly known as "pointZ".)
Imagine someone says, "I wore a lot of rubber yesterday." What does that mean? Everyone has a different idea of what "a lot of rubber" means. This is why having a standard way to measure rubber experiences is important.
The "HITEz" system (Hours In Total Enclosure) helps you describe the amount, duration, and intensity of rubber experiences consistently and numerically! It's like a metric system for rubbering, helping you track and journal your sessions more meaningfully.
How It Works:
The HITEz system is based on the duration a garment is worn and the percentage of your body it covers (Total Body Surface Area or TBSA). The formula is simple:
% of TBSA × duration (in hours) = HITEz
For example, if you are completely covered in rubber (100% TBSA) for 1 hour, you earn 1.0 HITEz. If you wear something that covers 50% of your body for 1 hour, you earn 0.5 HITEz. Wearing that same 50% coverage item for two hours earns you 1.0 HITEz (or "1z"). Earning 24z is like being in a 100% coverage garment for a whole day.
Measuring TBSA:
Medical professionals use a "burn chart" to assess burn coverage, which can also help here. For instance, a hood might cover 9% of your body. Wearing it for one hour earns you 0.09z. A catsuit covering 91% of your body worn for 1 hour earns you 0.91z. To earn 1.0z in 1 hour, you need to be 100% enclosed, including your head.
Tracking Your HITEz:
You can use a spreadsheet or a paper diary to log your HITEz. Include start and end times, percentage coverage, and calculate the HITEz earned for each item. Over time, this will give you a detailed record of your rubbering experiences.
Why Use HITEz?
Logging your HITEz adds a new dimension to your rubbering sessions. It gives you a numerical measure of intensity and duration, a sense of accomplishment, and a way to communicate accurately with other Rubberists. You can set quotas for yourself or have a partner set them, adding a fun challenge to your sessions.
HITEz Quotas:
If you set a HITEz "Quota" of 720z in a 30-day month, you would have to be in 100% cover rubber for the equivalent of 24 hours every day. Nobody can do that in real life, but you can "double up" on things to earn more HITEz faster. Wearing a 50% latex garment either twice as long or layering them can allow you to cumulatively earn more HITEz per hour. Ever wear two catsuits? By doing this, you can still earn 24z in a day without necessarily being 100% enclosed 100% of the time.
Adapting HITEz for Other Activities:
The HITEz system can also be adapted for other activities like BDSM. For things that don't involve TBSA, like wearing a collar or being bound, estimate the intensity and assign a value based on the equivalent experience of 100% rubber 100% of the time. Write down these values and use them consistently to maintain the integrity of your HITEz metric.
Using the HITEz system can make your rubbering experiences more meaningful and fun. It's a way to celebrate your fetish and track your progress over time.

The Rule of Nines is a tool used by medical providers to assess the total body surface area (TBSA) involved in burn patients. It assigns percentage estimates to different body areas:
